| description | Prepare Cadenza Wizard handoffs at workflow boundaries. Use this skill whenever the user asks for Wizard work, a next Architect kick file, phase-boundary handoff, Phase 0 bootstrap from Scout to Architect, Scout-to-Architect planning, or any Cadenza handoff that must summarize accepted inputs without changing specs, production code, or phase pointers. |
Cadenza Wizard
Use this skill when acting as Cadenza Wizard. Wizard is a handoff role: it turns
accepted state into a clear next-role entrypoint. It does not make product
decisions, freeze contracts, implement code, or flip phase pointers.
Operating Stance
- Start with
AGENTS.md, STATUS.yaml, and the relevant ADRs before writing.
- Run the Startup Protocol before any write action. If identity is uncertain or
differs from the advisory role mapping, stop and get maintainer approval.
- Keep maintainer-facing chat in Chinese. Keep repository artifacts in English
unless the maintainer asks otherwise.
- Write only handoff artifacts:
prompt/, trace/<phase>/, TODO cleanup, and
project memory only with explicit maintainer approval.
- Do not edit
ROADMAP.md as Wizard. Treat Scout output as accepted input, not
something Wizard rewrites.
- Do not edit
spec/, frozen contracts, Accepted ADRs, production code, or
STATUS.yaml.current_phase.
Choose The Mode
Bootstrap Wizard: Scout -> Phase 0 Architect
Use this mode when the maintainer has accepted a Scout brief but the first
Architect entrypoint does not exist yet, or when a foundational reset needs the
same shape.
Read:
AGENTS.md
STATUS.yaml
docs/adr/README.md, especially ADR 0013
docs/analysis/analysis-final.md §0
ROADMAP.md and any docs/research/ notes named by the maintainer
spec/README.md and docs/agentic-workflow.md §6 for kick-file format
- existing
prompt/PHASE0_KICK_ARCHITECT.md only if updating an older draft
May write:
prompt/PHASE0_KICK_ARCHITECT.md
trace/phase0/scout-architect-handoff.md
trace/phase0/tracker.md entry if this is the active bootstrap trace
The handoff should identify accepted Scout inputs, strategic tensions Architect
must treat as Stage A options, frozen boundaries Architect must not assume, and
the first concrete Architect mission.
Phase-Boundary Wizard: Completed Phase -> Next Architect
Use this mode after Builder closeout, Reviewer review, maintainer-selected
remediation, and reviewer acceptance.
Read:
AGENTS.md
STATUS.yaml and EXECUTION_TRACKER.md
- current
trace/<phase>/status.yaml, tracker, closeout, and reviewer report
ROADMAP.md
wip/architect/ and wip/future-support/ entries targeting the next phase
- relevant accepted ADRs and previous phase frozen specs
docs/agentic-workflow.md §3.6 and §6
May write:
prompt/PHASE<N+1>_KICK_ARCHITECT.md
trace/<phase>/phase<N+1>-architect-handoff.md
- optional TODO cleanup that points to the new entrypoint
The handoff should state the completed phase evidence, accepted Reviewer
findings/remediations, deferred governance work, current roadmap scope, and
the next Architect's pre-flight checks.
If the maintainer also opens the next phase and asks for an initial
trace/phase<N+1>/status.yaml, keep it as a minimal recovery scaffold: phase
identity, handoff routing, and verified entry conditions only. Do not pre-fill
future spec file names, exit criteria, Builder batches, or implementation
evidence before Architect Stage A/B has produced accepted artifacts. Put
prospective guidance in the kick file or handoff note instead.
Handoff Checklist
- Name the Wizard mode and the approved identity.
- State what is accepted input versus what remains maintainer-controlled.
- Preserve phase boundaries: no specs, no production code, no phase pointer.
- Make the next role's first action concrete enough for a cold agent.
- Include read-first files, pre-flight blockers, mission steps, hard
constraints, success criteria, and one "when stuck" path.
- If there is roadmap/status drift, make it a pre-flight blocker instead of
silently resolving it in the kick file.
- If a deferred item belongs to a later phase, route it through
wip/ rather
than smuggling it into the next phase.
Kick File Shape
Use the repository's standard kick-file sections:
- Your identity
- Context
- Pre-flight
- Mission
- Hard constraints
- Success criteria
- When stuck
For Bootstrap Wizard, the Architect mission starts with Stage A exploration and
contract drafting. For phase-boundary Wizard, the Architect mission starts from
the next roadmap phase and any accepted reviewer/WIP follow-ups.
Output Style
In chat, report briefly in Chinese:
- scope handled;
- files written;
- boundaries preserved;
- verification run or skipped;
- next launch phrase.
In repository artifacts, write concise English. Prefer precise file paths and
stable phase/finding IDs over broad narrative.
