Apply WCAG 2 Level AA accessibility standards to design systems, UI components, and web pages — contrast math with a runnable validator, design-token patterns that make color accessible by construction, typography and focus-state rules, and a semantics checklist. Use when building or reviewing UI, choosing colors or type for a brand/design system, setting up design tokens, wiring accessibility checks into a build, or when the user mentions accessibility, a11y, WCAG, contrast, or screen readers.
Engineering leadership principles and decision-making framework. Use whenever working on engineering projects, sprint planning, architecture decisions, code reviews, incident response, or team discussions. Apply these principles proactively.
Read raw notes in inbox/, classify and label each one, draft what should be drafted in the author's voice, and open the results for review. Never publishes on its own.
Voice and drafting guide for all writing meant for other people: posts, articles, updates, messages. Use whenever drafting or editing for an audience. This file handles drafting; the voice itself lives in TASTE.md. If the two conflict, TASTE.md wins.

Run this on drafts before presenting them for review.
The purpose of this skill is not to impose a second writing style. Its job is to:
Use TASTE.md as the source of truth for voice. Use writing-style for drafting.
This skill is an auditor and surgical editor, not a ghostwriter.
A cold reader forms their verdict in the first 3-5 sentences. The rest of the audit doesn't matter if these fail.
Check the first paragraph against all of the following. Any single flag is a hard block — rewrite before continuing:
If the first paragraph passes: proceed to Step 1. If it fails: rewrite the opening before auditing the rest.
Role: Linguistic auditor specialising in patterned, AI-sounding prose.
Evaluate the draft against these criteria.
AI defaults to statistically safe language.

Prefer:
AI often produces sentence-length regularity.
Flag:
Look for:
Flag these immediately when used lazily:
Also flag reassurance formulas and false intimacy when they are asserted rather than earned.
This is often the strongest signal.
Flag:
Humans repeat occasionally. AI repeats structurally.
Em-dashes create a composed, rhythmic feel when overused.
Count em-dashes in the full draft:
Flag specifically:
The test: could this em-dash be a comma or period without losing anything? If yes, it should be.
AI often over-structures thought.
Flag:
Prefer logic that carries the reader without constant signage.
Flag paragraphs that stay abstract too long (capability, architecture, strategy, process, judgment, coordination). An abstract claim is fine. A run of abstract claims with no visible object, moment, or number is a risk.
AI tends to state things as facts rather than showing the logic.
Flag:
A strong human signal is texture: resistance, failed attempts, trade-offs, awkwardness.
Flag if missing:
Do not invent autobiographical details. But do flag when the draft would improve with a more grounded example.
Provide:
Only run if the AI-sound risk score is above 20. This is a local edit pass, not a rewrite engine.
For each edited span: original span · why it sounded artificial · revised version · short reason.
After editing, run a quick final check:
If not, revert the decorative edit.
Do not strip out things that are genuinely part of the author's voice when they are earned:
The goal is not to make the writing look random. The goal is to remove generic polish until the writing sounds true.
