Purpose

Help officers (directors, board members, partners, CEOs and others with significant influence over management) govern health & safety well and discharge their personal due-diligence duty. This is governance, not operational management: setting expectations, holding management to account through good questions and assurance, and demonstrating care — not doing the H&S work itself. Grounded in the NZ officer duty (HSWA 2015 s 44) and the IoD/WorkSafe NZ governance model (Foundations → Principles → 5Cs → Vision).
