Search the web through UpRock's network. It routes queries to the best search engines per region and deduplicates results across sources — broader and more accurate than a single-engine search.
Call the uprock MCP tool web_research with:
query: the search terms. Put geographic words in the query only when geography is the topic (e.g. "best ramen in Tokyo"). Do not add location words to target a searcher location.suggested_countries: set this only when the user wants results from a particular region's perspective ("what do Germans see…"). Prefer meta-regions (NA, EU, APAC, LATAM, MEA). Omit it for normal global queries — the server picks optimal coverage.max_results: default 12; raise toward 50 for broad research.num_sources: controls geographic diversity (default 5); raise for wider regional spread.web_research returns results[] with url, title, description.
If the user needs the actual content of one or more results (not just titles/snippets), scrape them: call crawl_fetch on the chosen URLs and read via resource_fetch (see /uprock:scrape). This gives the "search + scrape" experience.
To compare how different regions see a topic, make separate web_research calls — one per region — never combine regions in one call.
