Use Specific Exceptions

When using try-except blocks, limit the except to the smallest set of errors possible.

Don't:

try:
    open(path, "r").read()
except:
    print("Failed to open file")

Do:

try:
    open(path, "r").read()
except FileNotFoundError:
    print("Failed to open file")
