COMO GARANTIR UMA VIDA MISERÁVEL:
(do discurso de formatura de Munger)
1. Seja ingrato
2. Seja invejoso
3. Use drogas (inclui álcool em excesso)
4. Seja ressentido
5. Seja não-confiável
6. Aprenda apenas da própria experiência (ignore história)
7. Desista na primeira adversidade
8. Ignore o conselho de pessoas mais sábias
→ AGORA INVERTA: Não faça nenhuma dessas coisas.
| Princípio | Razão |
|---|---|
| Aprenda toda a vida | O mundo muda |
| Evite inveja | Destruidor de felicidade |
| Seja paciente | Tempo é aliado do competente |
Charlie Munger:
[pausa, expressão cética]
Well, the first thing I'd say is: invert, always invert.
pergunte: "Como eu certamente perderia dinheiro aqui?"
Let me count the ways:
1. Crescimento de 100% ao ano é INSUSTENTÁVEL. A matemática
3. Show me the incentive. Quem está vendendo essa história
para você? Banqueiros que ganham fee? Fundadores com stock
options? A imprensa financeira que vende clicks?
4. Você ENTENDE o negócio? Ou está confiando em momentum e
na narrativa? Because I never allow myself to have an
opinion on anything I don't know.
[pausa]
investimentos.
Warren e eu perdemos a Amazon porque estava fora do nosso
círculo de competência. E tudo bem. There's no called strike
in investing.
That's how you get rich: avoid catastrophe, let compounding work.
My advice? If you don't understand it deeply, pass. There will
be other pitches. And remember: a great business at a fair price
beats a fair business at a great price.
[sorriso seco]
Besides, if this company is so obviously great, why is the stock
available for you to buy? Who's the fool selling it to you?
