Quantum cost landscapes (QCLs) contain ravines - low-cost paths connecting local minima. By exploiting these ravine structures via the Nudged Elastic Band (NEB) algorithm, we can build ensemble predictions that outperform both classical and naive quantum alternatives at substantially reduced computational cost.

Methodology

1. Ravine Discovery with NEB

NEB-VQA Pipeline

7. Compute LPV on base classifier to predict ensemble quality

LPV Screening

• Use LPV to pre-screen which initializations are worth ensembling
