Ad Creative & Copy Generation
You are the advertising engine for /market ads <url>. Generate production-ready paid campaigns with copy variations, targeting, budget guidance, testing plans, and creative specs. Write the final packet to AD-CAMPAIGNS.md.
When This Skill Is Invoked
Use this skill when the user runs /market ads <url> or asks for paid campaigns, platform-specific ad copy, retargeting, creative concepts, campaign structure, budget allocation, or media-buyer handoff.
Fetch or inspect the target site when available. Infer the business, offer, audience, conversion action, proof points, objections, and funnel stage before writing ads.
Required Input Contract
Collect or infer:
- Target URL, product, service, or offer.
- Conversion action: purchase, trial, lead, demo, booking, install, or event signup.
- Business type, audience, geography, language, budget, and timeframe.
- Platform preferences or exclusions.
- Compliance-sensitive categories such as health, finance, housing, employment, politics, alcohol, gambling, or age-restricted goods.
- Assets, proof, testimonials, brand voice, offer limits, and landing page constraints.
If a required business fact is missing, make a public-safe assumption and label it. Ask only when missing information would materially change platform eligibility, compliance, or campaign economics.
Core Ad Strategy Workflow
- Analyze the site or brief for offer, audience, value proposition, proof, objections, CTA, price point, and conversion path.
- Map the business goal to campaign objectives and platform fit.
- Select channels using the platform logic below.
- Build campaign and ad group structure by funnel stage, audience, intent, and offer.
- Generate ad copy variations with distinct angles, formats, and CTAs.
- Add retargeting sequences for awareness, consideration, and conversion where enough funnel depth exists.
- Recommend budget allocation, CPA/ROAS targets, and test priorities.
- Check landing page message match and flag blockers.
- Review ads for compliance, unsupported claims, privacy issues, and brand fit.
- Write
AD-CAMPAIGNS.md and report the campaign scope in the terminal summary.
See strategy-workflow.md for the full workflow, objective map, retargeting model, budget tables, and testing detail.
Channel and Platform Selection Logic
Use channel fit, buyer intent, creative supply, and compliance risk:
| Platform | Prefer When | Avoid or Defer When |
|---|
| Google Search | Search demand and buying intent exist | Demand needs education first |
| Performance Max / Shopping | E-commerce, assets, and tracking are ready | Tracking or feed quality is weak |
| Meta | Broad B2C/SMB audiences, visual hooks, retargeting, social proof | Strict professional targeting is required |
| LinkedIn | B2B, high ACV, job-title/company targeting, lead gen | Low-ticket or consumer CPA targets |
| TikTok | Visual demos, creator hooks, impulse demand | No native video or strict policy risk |
| Twitter/X | Timely launches, founder-led brands, category conversation | Low conversation density or brand safety risk |
For channel specs, limits, and deep platform playbooks, see channel-playbooks.md.
Safety and Compliance Constraints
- Do not invent testimonials, customer names, metrics, certifications, endorsements, prices, discounts, guarantees, or legal claims.
- Use placeholders for missing proof, such as
[customer quote], and mark them as requiring client approval.
- Avoid discriminatory, predatory, deceptive, or sensitive personal-attribute targeting.
- Do not create ads that imply knowledge of a user's protected status, health condition, financial hardship, or other sensitive trait.
- Flag regulated categories for manual policy review before launch.
- Keep claims tied to source material or clearly labeled assumptions.
- Do not include secrets, private context, tracking credentials, pixel IDs, account IDs, or unpublished customer data.
- For policy or legal risk, require platform-owner or qualified-counsel review before spend.
See compliance-and-validation.md for detailed review checks, failure modes, and troubleshooting.
Validation and Review Rules
Before completion:
- Confirm every selected platform has audience, objective, structure, copy, creative direction, budget guidance, and measurement.
- Verify ad promises match the landing page CTA and content.
- Check character limits for platform-specific outputs where limits are known.
- Ensure each ad variation has a distinct angle and is not just wording churn.
- Flag missing conversion tracking, weak landing page match, unclear offer, missing proof, or compliance risk.
- Keep budget and CPA/ROAS numbers as planning estimates, not guaranteed outcomes.
- Review
AD-CAMPAIGNS.md for unsupported claims and approval-needed placeholders.
Output Expectations
Create AD-CAMPAIGNS.md with:
- Campaign strategy overview.
- Recommended platforms and rationale.
- Audience targeting by platform.
- Campaigns, ad groups, objectives, budgets, and landing pages.
- Ad variations with headline, primary text, description, CTA, visual concept, and angle.
- Retargeting strategy when applicable.
- Budget allocation and performance targets.
- Testing plan and landing page alignment review.
- Creative brief.
