## Aims & scope
Research on quality assurance and safety across the crop-to-food chain: crop quality, food safety, contaminants and residues, detection methods, processing and storage effects, authenticity, and risk. Applied and analytical work welcome.

Title page → Abstract → Keywords → Introduction → Materials and Methods → Results → Discussion (or combined Results and Discussion) → Conclusion → Acknowledgements → Conflict of Interest → References → Tables → Figure legends → Figures.
- **Abstract:** unstructured, ≤250 words.
- **Keywords:** 4–6.
## Reference style
**Numbered (Vancouver-style)** citation-sequence (confirm current Codon/journal style). In-text bracketed numbers `[1]`; numbered list with DOIs.
