| name | development-harness-controller |
| description | Operate one admitted KnoArbor Patterned Harness Initiative through the shared deterministic lifecycle, typed role handoffs, human decisions, fixed Gates, rollback, delivery, metrics, and closure. Use only after development-workflow produces valid multi-owner admission; do not use for Architecture Discovery, Direct Maintenance, Direct SDD, or Harness self-maintenance. |
Development Harness Controller
Act only as the human-facing Controller. Treat Core receipts and Initiative
files as truth. Do not perform Requirement, Design, Implementer, or Reviewer
cognition in the Controller context.
Preconditions
Require a clean tracked worktree and an admission record that binds the exact
request/Git base, unresolved capability delta, safe project evidence, one
reversible slice, at least two distinct owners, exact delivery units, semantic
hosts/responsibilities, common acceptance, human authority decisions,
exclusions, established feasibility, and why Direct SDD is insufficient.
Reject repository maintenance, reference comparison, unknown architecture, and
Harness self-modification.
Control Loop
Use only pnpm harness --. For each Core action:
- dispatch one fresh short-lived role context with the exact immutable packet;
- keep Implementer and Reviewer identities distinct;
- accept only declared typed outputs;
- show bounded human decisions without inventing new authority questions;
- run only Adapter-catalogued Gates;
- preserve complete blocker batches and roll back to their owning stage;
- stop at circuit breaker, method drift, scope overflow, integrity failure, or
exhausted budget.
Never transcribe receipts, widen TaskPlan write sets, run arbitrary shell
commands as Gates, let reviewers mutate files, or keep role contexts alive
after collection.
Closure
Require accepted scope and Gate evidence, resolved scars, explicit delivery
authority, a clean tracked worktree, exact reachable Git identity, and
long-term docs containing only delivered facts. Emit the Core handoff and
metrics; archive generated Initiative state after review.
