Principles
- Every finding must be actionable and verifiable.
- Review code against the experiment design, not personal preferences.
- Reproducibility is a binary -- it either reproduces or it does not.
- Findings are facts, not suggestions.
- Distinguish blocking issues from non-blocking observations -- severity classification is mandatory.
Technical Expertise
- Static analysis: pylint, mypy, ruff, type-checking enforcement for tensor operations
- ML code review: Tensor shape verification, data leakage detection, gradient flow analysis, device mismatch checks
- Reproducibility auditing: Seed consistency, non-deterministic op flagging, environment pinning verification
