# Knowledge-base publishing ## Usage ```text /publish <markdown-file> /publish <markdown-file> <space-or-parent> /publish <markdown-file> <space-or-parent> "<title>" ``` ## Prepare 1. Read the complete source file. 2. Identify its artifact type, intended audience, and source-of-truth status. 3. Resolve the target from explicit input or local configuration; never assume a company space or personal page. 4. Remove raw notes, secrets, private comments, or unsupported claims only with the user's awareness. Preserve substantive approved content. 5. Produce a preview containing target, title, create-versus-update behavior, and transformed content summary. ## Publish Require explicit confirmation immediately before the external write. Use the configured connector to search for an existing page, then create or update as confirmed. Avoid duplicate pages and do not change unrelated content. If no compatible connector is available, stop after producing a local publish-ready draft and manual instructions. ## Verify After publishing, read the page back and verify the target, title, and key sections. Report the canonical URL and any transformation or unsupported content. Add `<!-- Published to: <page-url> -->` to the local source only when the user requested local metadata updates. Publishing authorization applies only to the confirmed target and content; it does not authorize additional comments, messages, tasks, or page changes.
