Inventory task scratch and classify each artifact as disposable, active, or durable. Promote only resolved current-session material through the configured persistence adapter. Require and validate the project-to-source mapping; never infer or overwrite it.

Preserve provenance, compare paths and hashes, verify durability independently, and delete source copies only after success. Retain active, unresolved, secret-bearing, failed, or unselected material. Report promoted and retained paths, destination identity, checks, and inherited defects.
