Markdown outline → PowerPoint

Turns a plain markdown outline into a .pptx. One slide per heading, one bullet per list item.

Steps

1. Draft the outline in markdown first and show it to the user. Do not skip straight to the file — the outline is the part worth reviewing, and it is far cheaper to change than a generated deck.

   A line starting with # (any depth) starts a new slide and becomes its title. A line starting with - or * becomes a bullet on the current slide. Everything else is ignored, so prose between sections is harmless.

2. Once the user approves the outline, write it to a file and build the deck:

   python /workspace/skills/slide-outline/scripts/make_pptx.py outline.md --out deck.pptx
   

   Add --title "Deck title" to prepend a title slide.

3. Report the output path and the slide count the script printed. Offer to adjust the outline and rebuild — never hand-edit the .pptx.

Notes

• python-pptx is declared in requirements, so CUGA installs it in the sandbox before your code runs. Do not install it on the host.
• The deck deliberately uses the default template with no styling. If the user wants brand fonts, colours, or layouts, say that this skill produces a plain structural deck and ask whether they have a template to apply afterwards.
