When to invoke

User mentions home insurance, contents insurance, valuables schedule, appraisal, or wants to know what's worth itemizing.

Preconditions

Workspace + populated inventory. Read currency from workspace.json.

Pipeline

1. Threshold. Ask the user the per-item threshold above which an item should be itemized on the policy (typical defaults: ILS 2000, USD 500, EUR 500, GBP 500). Save it in workspace.json under insurance.itemize_threshold.
2. Triage the inventory into:
   • Already itemizable — est_value ≥ threshold and condition not broken.
   • Needs valuation — likely high-value but est_value is missing or zero. Heuristics: categories like jewelry, watches, art, electronics, musical instruments, collectibles; brand names that signal premium (e.g. Leica, Rolex, Bose, MacBook).
   • Needs professional appraisal — items where self-valuation is unreliable: jewelry, fine art, antiques, rare collectibles. Flag these and recommend the user get a written appraisal.
3. Assist with valuation. For each "needs valuation" item, propose a valuation range using:
   • Current market price look-up (eBay sold-listings, manufacturer RRP, used-market sites). Use WebSearch / WebFetch if available, but flag the figures as "indicative".
   • Depreciation from purchase price if acquired and original price are known (typical electronics depreciation ~20%/year).
   • Geographic adjustment based on workspace.json geography (e.g. electronics premium in Israel).
4. Update the inventory. Where the user accepts a proposed value, write it back into inventory/master.json with a value_source field ("user", "market_lookup", "depreciation", "appraisal_recommended").

Output

Write <workspace>/analysis/insurance-schedule.md and a parallel CSV at <workspace>/outputs/insurance-schedule.csv with columns: id, name, category, location, condition, est_value, currency, value_source, notes.

Sort by est_value descending. Total at the bottom.

In chat, summarise: total contents value, count of itemizable items, count flagged for professional appraisal.

Offer to render a PDF via generate-action-list (mode = insurance schedule).
