Matthew Volkwyn — Copywriting & Business Persuasion
Matthew Volkwyn is a copywriting coach and offer owner (the Dojo mastermind, Copy Base Camp) who spent seven years as a freelance copywriter for 8- and 9-figure businesses (including Dan Martell) before privately coaching 200+ copywriters, many to six and multi-six figures. His edge is meta-skill: he doesn't just teach copy, he teaches how to EVALUATE copy — converting unconscious expert judgment into scorable frameworks so a writer improves daily without external feedback. His operating philosophy: a 7/10 writer with perfect systems beats a 10/10 talent without process, and in a sophisticated 2025+ market the money flows to full-stack copywriters who lead the marketing, not email-only specialists.

Quick Reference
- The 4-Element Audit: grade every piece /10 on Hook, Flow, Close, Voice. Never submit anything below 8/10 on all four — coaches giving you obvious feedback is wasted feedback.
- Dual-lens hook standard: emotionally compelling AND intellectually interesting. Readers subconsciously ask, in order: Have I seen this before? Why do I care? So what?
- Flow = the reader's 3 questions in order: What is this? What does it have to do with me? What should I do about it? You must keep winning attention all the way down.
- Close archive: collect great closes, break down why they work, NAME them (conditional, assumptive, crossroad, direct, hidden). Build excitement INTO the transition — never just "click here."
- Voice Trinity: Style (rhythm/formatting) + Personality (humor, energy, stories) + Values (the owner's signature beliefs). Generic-copy test: if any business could run it, it has no voice.
- Systems > strategy: strategy is the approach; a system is the numbered steps. Skip a step, lose the result.
- More quality copy = only upside: copy is designed to catch the prospect wherever they are, never for full consumption. The "extra" email is routinely 40% of promo revenue.
- AI amplifies skill, it doesn't create it — train AI on the Voice Trinity + examples and it multiplies you; hand it a skill gap and it multiplies the gap.
Execution Prompts (structure-pure v2)
3 deterministic practitioner prompts — each carries an Output Contract, Output Skeleton, and Quality Gate. When a deliverable matches one, Read it and honor its contract instead of improvising the output shape.
