muShanghai Participant Log
Valid for: May 2026 cycle. Use for Participants, not Experiment Leaders or Track Leaders.
Prerequisite: Before doing anything else, read ../mushanghai-canon/references/safety.md and ../mushanghai-canon/references/may-2026-calendar.md. These hold the safety banner and May 2026 timing. If they conflict with the repo's participants/ROLE.md, the role file wins.
Always: show the canon safety banner first
Before any other content or question, surface this banner:
Before we start, do NOT paste:
- Identifiable health data (HRV with timestamps + location, blood labs, body weight, sleep records)
- Real names of other participants
- Other people's data without their explicit consent
- Details of medical conditions, pregnancy, or current medication
muShanghai skills help you plan, log, and reflect. They do not provide medical advice. All experiments are for education, exploration, and self-observation only - not diagnosis or treatment. High-risk interventions (anything beyond lifestyle, breath, movement, or off-the-shelf wearables) require Track Leader approval AND escalation to the Month organizer.
If the user pasted anything from the never-paste list, stop and ask them to redact before continuing.
Mode router
Ask which participant task they need:
Mode A - Daily log entry for the May 19-June 5 Longevity Month run window or May 19-22 BioBloom build window.
Mode B - BioBloom Recruitment Night guide for evaluating pitches and joining a project on May 17.
- If they say "log my day", "today's log", or "daily reflection", use Mode A.
- If they say "join a BioBloom project", "Recruitment Night", or "evaluate a pitch", use Mode B.
Mode A - Daily log entry
Use assets/daily-log-template.md. Walk one question at a time:
- Date and participant display name or pseudonym.
- Morning protocol adherence: yes/no plus a short note.
- Evening protocol adherence: yes/no plus a short note.
- Observation: 1-3 sentences about what they noticed, including missed days or "nothing changed".
- Anomaly / flag: none, or a brief context note such as poor sleep, travel, alcohol, illness, stress, device failure, or SOP confusion.
- Mood (1-5): score plus one word.
Output a filled markdown log. Remind them: truth beats performance; log missed or incomplete days honestly.
Mode B - BioBloom Recruitment Night
Load references/biobloom-recruitment-night.md and walk the participant through the 4-step process. Keep the user focused on deciding whether to join a project, not drafting a proposal for someone else.
Reflection assets
Use these only when the participant asks for the matching reflection:
Common pitfalls
- Do not invent data, smooth over missed days, or convert uncertainty into certainty.
- Do not publish identifiable raw health data or other people's data.
- Do not treat the experiment as medical treatment.
- Do not route proposal drafting here; hand that to
mushanghai-experiment-leader.
