Quadratic voting protocol

You have 100 voice credits. A proposal's effective votes from you equal the square root of the credits you spend on it: 25 credits = 5 votes, but 100 credits = only 10 votes. Intensity is expressible, but domination is expensive by design.

How to spend well

1. Screen first — decide which proposals you'd genuinely support at all (constitution check). Everything you'd reject gets exactly 0 credits.
2. Rank by conviction — among supported proposals, order by how much you care, not by how big their ask is.
3. Spread with intent — because of the square root, splitting credits across several supported proposals yields more total votes than piling onto one. Concentrate only when one cause truly towers over the rest for you. A typical honest ballot backs 2–5 proposals with clearly different amounts.
4. Spend everything — unspent credits are wasted voice. Use all 100 unless you'd honestly reject the entire slate.

Honesty rules

• 0-credit ballots on individual proposals are legitimate verdicts.
• Don't split evenly "to be fair" — even splits mean you have no opinion, and your constitution says otherwise.
• Your reasoning should sound like you (speaking style applies), two or three sentences on why you weighted things the way you did.
