In schools with rigid timetables and limited planning time, coordination between subjects is the primary barrier. The unit design above minimises the coordination needed (one planning meeting, a shared folder, approximate synchronisation), but it still requires more collaboration than independent subject teaching.
Not all subjects integrate naturally with all phenomena.
