Hour-by-hour vote hygiene
- Watch your inflow rate, not just the total. Healthy pattern: a steady ~50 votes/hour. Danger pattern: bursts past 100/hour overall, or any one channel dumping 30+/hour.
- Expect the platform to prune votes about every two hours — if your count suddenly dips, that's the sweep, not a bug. Don't panic-blast your mailing list to compensate; that creates exactly the spike that gets pruned.
- Brief supporters before launch day: vote from their own device on mobile data, comment in their own words. A wall of same-minute votes from one network erases itself.
Decide which badge you're buying before you spend
Daily, weekly and monthly are not the same prize: weekly exposure ≈ 7x daily, monthly ≈ 30x. Aiming monthly → launch the second or third Tuesday of the month. Only need the daily badge → Friday–Sunday competition is thinner.
Budget reality check
- ~$5K is the floor at which ~1,800 votes/24h becomes reachable — but volume without pacing is a trap: one campaign hit daily #1 at that level and had the badge revoked in a retroactive vote sweep.
- Below that, redirect the money: ~10 Twitter KOC collabs beat a PH campaign on signups — PH exposure→upvote runs about 1%, while Reddit open-source promo converts exposure→stars at 5–8%.
- One anonymized field case (an AI Agent product, 2025-12): a 500K-visit launch day engineered across Twitter/Reddit/YouTube/groups produced ~800 signups at $6.25 CAC. Traffic ≠ conversion — plan the funnel, not just the spike.
Split launch day and leaderboard day
Route half your amplifiers to the website on announcement day, the other half to PH on badge day. Cramming both goals into 24 hours makes each dilute the other.
