Start / Restart dsh

References: dsh web serves the browser UI (dsh web --help lists --host / --port; --port 0 lets the OS pick a free port). The configuration root resolves to $DSH_HOME or ~/.dsh per the official @deepseek-ai/dsh-skill-filesystem dshHome rules.

1. Locate the install: dsh --version; if the command is missing, try npx -y @deepseek-ai/dsh --version (downloads on first use; requires network).
2. Confirm the configuration root: $DSH_HOME (Windows: $env:DSH_HOME), otherwise ~/.dsh.
3. Check the port (default 3080 locally; override with --port):
   • Windows: netstat -ano | findstr :3080, note the PID on the LISTENING line
   • macOS/Linux: lsof -iTCP:3080 -sTCP:LISTEN -t; fall back to ss -ltnp | grep :3080
4. Identify the process holding the port: Windows tasklist /FI "PID eq <pid>"; macOS/Linux ps -p <pid> -o comm=. Never kill a non-node/dsh process without asking the user first.
5. Probe the service: curl -s -o /dev/null -w "%{http_code}" http://127.0.0.1:3080/ (Windows: curl.exe).
   • Responding (200) and the user only asked to "open" → just open the browser (Windows start http://127.0.0.1:3080, macOS open http://127.0.0.1:3080); do NOT restart — it would drop the current session.
   • Responding but the user explicitly asked to "restart" → terminate the process (Windows taskkill /PID <pid> /T /F; macOS/Linux kill <pid>), then wait for the port to free.
   • No response → treat it as a stale process: terminate it and continue.
6. Start the service: dsh web; if dsh is not on PATH, npx -y @deepseek-ai/dsh web. To pin the configuration root, set DSH_HOME (to the path from step 2) first.
7. Poll the probe from step 5 until it returns 200 (up to about 30 seconds), then open the browser.
8. If startup fails: read the full error output; confirm dsh web --help usage; verify the port is not blocked by a firewall or another application; temporarily run dsh web --port 0 to check whether the service itself can start.
9. ⚠️ Restarting terminates the running dsh process — including the process hosting the current conversation. Tell the user before doing it, and reopen the UI afterwards.
