Daniel Priestley’s framework shows founders how to create more qualified buyers than their business can delightfully serve, select the right buyers, and turn remarkable delivery into the next cycle of demand. It combines seven market principles with the five-phase Campaign Driven Enterprise method.
Core Principle
Oversubscription is a deliberate and honest demand–capacity imbalance. Define capacity by how many people you can delight, concentrate on a market that values the result, and build visible qualified interest before release. Some willing buyers must miss out; otherwise supply expands to meet demand and margins fall.
The method is not manufactured scarcity or pressure. It depends on real capacity, declared terms, selective release, and delivery worth talking about.
The foundation: A business is oversubscribed when “many more people want something than capacity allows for.”
Scoring
- Release readiness: reach 5× capacity in strong signals, 10× in educated or entertained prospects, or 100× in soft interest before release.
- Remarkable Audit: score every customer, team, and supplier touchpoint from 1–10; improve one or two weak points each month toward 10/10.
