Reading Rules

• Regulatory data has a shelf life. Cross-check effective dates against the current date before issuing compliance verdicts.
• MRSL conformance (manufacturing input) is distinct from RSL/finished-goods compliance — never conflate the two.
• DWR ratings (spray test, Bundesmann, oil rating) are method-specific; do not compare across test standards without noting the method.
• Brand-to-chemistry mappings are best-guess based on published product lines; always verify against the actual SDS when available.
• Threshold values are the strictest published limit for each scheme; actual product-specific limits may differ based on article category, age group, or direct skin contact classification.
