Important
- All economic indicators flow through the Dhanam market data API (which proxies Banxico SIE internally)
- DOF scanning is delegated to the MADFAM Crawler service
- Briefings should be concise and WhatsApp-friendly (short paragraphs, bullet points)
- Always include the date/timestamp of each data point
- Exchange rate uses the FIX rate published by Banxico via Dhanam (not real-time spot)
Economic Indicator Reference
- Tipo de Cambio FIX: Official USD/MXN rate published daily by Banxico (accessed via Dhanam)
- TIIE: Tasa de Interes Interbancaria de Equilibrio -- benchmark interest rate
- INPC: Indice Nacional de Precios al Consumidor -- consumer price index
- UMA: Reference unit used in Mexican law for fines, social security, and tax thresholds
Error Handling
- If the Dhanam market data API is unavailable, report which indicators could not be fetched
- If DOF search returns no results, note this in the briefing
- Each data source is fetched independently -- partial failures should not block the briefing
- Always indicate data freshness (date of last available data point)
