Choose ModelContextProtocol 2.0.0 for new C# core work. Add ModelContextProtocol.Extensions.Apps or ModelContextProtocol.Extensions.Tasks 2.0.0 only when that extension is needed; neither is bundled into the core package. HTTP is stateless by default; MapMcp() plus WithHttpTransport() handles the modern endpoint. Do not expose McpProtocolVersions in application code: it is internal.
