The Proposal is a post-call commitment document, not a formal contract. Formal contracts (with legal language, jurisdictions, force-majeure, etc.) are handled by the /legal-templates skill in v1.1. The proposal is the scannable "here's what we agreed to" document the prospect reads within 2 hours of the call, signs intent on, and returns to when buyer's remorse hits on day 2.
Why This Skill
Post-call close rate impact: prospects who receive a clean 1-page proposal within 2 hours of the close convert at 85-95%. Prospects who get no proposal or receive a 10-page contract with dense legal language convert at 50-65% — and the ones who do convert are more likely to refund or chargeback in the first 14 days. At $12K AOV and 8 weekly closes, that's the difference between $10K/wk in losses to cooling-off and $96K/wk in captured revenue.
Common proposal failures:
Proposal sent 24-48 hours after call -> prospect has already cooled, doubts have set in
Proposal reads like a contract -> prospect gets spooked, starts negotiating terms they already agreed to

The 7-Section Proposal Structure

If the prospect tries to renegotiate via email ("can we do $3K instead of $5K?"), closer does NOT counter in the proposal — that's a separate conversation handled by the closer, not the document
Tacit Principles
Within 2 hours or cold. A proposal sent same-day while the call is still emotionally fresh converts far higher than one sent 24-48h later. Speed of delivery is part of the close.
The proposal is the post-call reassurance. Day 1 after the call, the prospect's buyer's remorse hits. The proposal is what they re-read to remember why they said yes.
One page or it doesn't get read. Multi-page proposals get skimmed or ignored. One page is the maximum that gets fully read.
Prospect-specific > template. Generic proposals feel transactional. A proposal that references the prospect's specific pain in Section 2 + the mechanism they learned on the call in Section 4 reinforces the relationship.
Risk reversal is the anchor against cold feet. The guarantee is what the prospect clings to when doubt hits. Never omit it, never bury it.
Single CTA or fragmentation. Three options = paralysis = deferral. One clear action = commitment or explicit no.
Voice-match makes the proposal feel personal. Corporate-legal voice breaks trust. Creator's voice preserves the emotional connection of the call.
The proposal is not a contract. Don't over-legalize. The binding document is /legal-templates. The proposal is the scannable commitment summary.
Payment terms clear or confusion. Ambiguous pricing ("we'll send the invoice soon") opens stall windows. Clear pricing ("$X total, payment link in next email") closes.
No income guarantees, period. Regulatory violation + refund magnet. Results guarantees are specific, completion-based, and honor-bound ("if you complete X and don't see Y, we do Z").
