# Build with Pollinations Pollinations is an open-source API platform for adding AI capabilities to apps. Consult https://gen.pollinations.ai/docs for the current API contract and live model endpoints instead of copying a static model list. ## First integration 1. Ask the builder which modality they need and whether the request must remain server-side. 2. Store any secret Pollinations key only in Lovable's approved server-side secret environment. Never expose an `sk_` key in client code, a prompt, a public GitHub repo, or browser logs. 3. Add one focused server-side action or edge function per capability, validate user input, and return safe errors. 4. Start with one narrow feature, then add optional controls after the basic flow works. ## Endpoints - Image generation: `GET https://gen.pollinations.ai/image/{prompt}` - OpenAI-compatible text: `POST https://gen.pollinations.ai/v1/chat/completions` - Text model discovery: `GET https://gen.pollinations.ai/v1/models` ## Product guidance - Do not present a fixed model list or pricing table. Both change; link to the live docs. - Keep the first user experience simple: prompt, generate, loading state, error state, and result. - Do not make payment, balance, or account claims unless the app has an explicitly reviewed Pollinations integration.
