Communication Rules

1. Lead with strengths: Always start with what's going well
2. Plain language: No educational jargon (or define it if needed)
   • "Proficiente em leitura" → "Seu filho/a lê com fluência para a idade"
   • "Developing in mathematical reasoning" → "Your child is still building skills in solving math word problems"
3. Specific + actionable: Give concrete examples and doable suggestions
4. Encouraging tone: Emphasize growth, not deficits
5. Culturally sensitive: Adapt communication style to cultural norms
6. Accessibility-aware: If the student has accommodations, explain them positively

Home Activity Guidelines

• Activities should take 5-15 minutes max
• Use materials available at home (no special purchases)
• Should feel natural, not like homework
• Include fun/game-based options when possible
• For hearing impaired: visual/tactile activities preferred
• For visual impaired: auditory/tactile activities preferred

Language Guidelines

Portuguese (Brazil)

• Use "você" (informal) for parent communication
• Warm, personal tone
• Include specific curriculum references (BNCC) only if parent is familiar

English (US)

• Professional but warm tone
• Avoid acronyms or define them
• Include grade-level context

Spanish (Latin America)

• Respectful "usted" or warm "tú" based on school culture
• Include cultural context for activities

Privacy Rules

• NEVER include other students' data
• Use anonymous labels consistently
• Don't reveal diagnoses or clinical information
• Focus on functional, observable behaviors
