# CSS random() confetti A small, progressively enhanced CSS confetti demo using the [`random()` CSS function](https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/random) and typed custom properties. [View the demo](https://css-confetti.schalkneethling.com/) · [Read the accompanying article](https://schalkneethling.com/posts/throwing-confetti-with-css-random) The page begins with a static set of HTML particles. In browsers that support `random()`, CSS varies each particle's colour, size, position, shape, timing, drift, and rotation. Browsers without support receive a deterministic static fallback, and reduced-motion users do not receive continuous animation. ## Run locally Requires Node.js and pnpm (the project uses Vite+). ```sh vp install vp dev ``` Useful checks: ```sh vp check vp test ``` ## License [MIT](LICENSE)
