Solution Brainstorming

1. Confirm the decision brief and research findings.
2. Generate two or three materially different solution approaches.
3. Compare:
   • user and management outcome;
   • business-rule fit;
   • complexity;
   • risk and controls;
   • implementation effort;
   • maintainability;
   • reversibility.
4. Recommend one approach and state why.
5. Validate the proposed direction in small sections.
6. Persist the approved design before detailed planning.
