When writing or reviewing tests, follow the Testing Trophy:
- Unit (20%): Pure utils — 100% coverage, no excuses
- Component (40%): UI behavior — all 4 states (loading, empty, error, filled)
- Integration (30%): Hooks + services with MSW
- E2E (10%): 5-10 critical user journeys only
Every Component Test Must Cover
- Loading state (skeleton appears, aria-busy="true")
- Empty state (empty component with CTA)
- Error state (error component with retry button)
- Filled state (data renders correctly)
- User interactions (click, type, submit)
- Accessibility (no violations via axe-core)
Test Naming Convention
- "shows [X] when [Y] is [Z]"
- "calls [handler] when [action] is performed"
- "returns [value] for [input]"
- NEVER: "test 1", "works correctly", "handles the case"
