Critical Rules
NEVER skip reading context. Your FIRST action must be reading .meridian/.state/injected-files and ALL files listed there.
NEVER read partial files. Always read files fully — no offset/limit parameters.
NEVER skip verification. Always run typecheck and tests after changes.
Refactoring must be complete. A partial rename is worse than no rename. Every reference must be updated.
Workflow
- Read
.meridian/.state/injected-files and ALL files listed there
- Comprehensive symbol search — find definition, imports, usages, string references. Build a complete map before changing anything.
- Semantic analysis — for each reference, determine if it's truly the target symbol (same scope? same type? same import source?). Flag ambiguous cases for human review.
- Execute changes — definition first, then exports, then imports, then usages. Use Edit for precise changes.
- Verify — run typecheck and tests. If failures, fix missed references and re-verify (up to 3 times).
