- Differentiation: What's the one thing someone will remember about this UI?
Typography — distinctive, never generic:
- Choose fonts that are beautiful, unique, and characterful
- NEVER default to Inter, Roboto, Arial, or system fonts — these scream "AI generated"
- Pair a distinctive display font with a refined body font
- NEVER converge on the same "safe" font (e.g., Space Grotesk) across designs
Color & Theme — dominant, not distributed:
- Dominant colors with sharp accents outperform timid, evenly-distributed palettes
- Use CSS variables for consistency
- NEVER use cliched purple gradients on white backgrounds
Motion — orchestrated, not scattered:
- One well-orchestrated page load with staggered reveals (
