SCOPING
If the user provided arguments, treat that as a feature scope. For example, /arnold:resolve auth means only resolve drift in the auth feature.
STEP 0: CHECK FOR DOCS
First, check if docs/overview.md exists. If not, tell the user: "No docs/overview.md found. Run /arnold:init to scaffold your project, or create docs/overview.md manually." Stop here.
STEP 1: FIND DRIFT
First, check if docs/.arnold-snapshot.json exists. If it does, read it. Use entries where "status": "drifted" as your drift list — they already have exact doc values, code values, file paths, and symbols from the last check. Present these directly without re-scanning.
If docs/status.md has features marked 🔴 Drifted, cross-reference with the snapshot for details.
Only fall back to a fresh scan (reading docs and code like /arnold:check) if no snapshot exists.
If no drift is found, say:

Nothing to resolve. Hold on to your docs. 🦕
Stop here.
STEP 2: PRESENT DRIFT ITEMS
Present each drift item one at a time:

STEP 3: APPLY FIXES
Based on the user's choice:
(a) Docs are correct → fix code:
- Arnold does NOT modify code directly. Instead, tell the user exactly what to change:
"To fix this, change [CONSTANT] in [file] from [current] to [documented value]."
"Want me to make this edit?"
- Only edit code if the user explicitly confirms.
(b) Code is correct → update docs:
- Edit the relevant doc file to match the code value.
- Update the provenance tag: change
(user-stated) to (updated — was [old value], code changed to [new value]) or just update the value.
(c) Skip:
- Move to the next item. Note skipped items at the end.
(d) Neither — new value:
- Ask: "What should the value be?"
- Update BOTH docs and tell the user to update the code.
STEP 4: UPDATE STATUS
After resolving all items:
- Update
docs/status.md with the resolution date
- Change any feature status markers that were 🔴 Drifted back to 🟢 Aligned (if all drift in that feature is resolved)
