Welcome Doc Skill
Create personalized employee onboarding documents in Confluence based on a template or example.
When invoked, use the Welcome Doc agent to handle the request: $ARGUMENTS
Usage
/welcome-doc link1 link2 free text context
The agent will first try to figure out whatever it can by reading any provided links to templates and examples, then interactively prompt as needed for:
- Template or example document (Confluence URL, Paper URL, or local file)
- New employee details (name, role, team)
- Team information and context
- Direct reports (if applicable) and optional screenshot
- Additional context (manager PTO, onboarding buddy, etc.)

- Reads template/example documents
- Queries JIRA through Atlassian Rovo MCP for roadmap information
- Extracts team and project context
- Generates Document: Creates a personalized Confluence welcome document with:
- Personalized welcome message
- Team and organizational structure
- Roadmap overview with links
- Key people to meet
- 30/60/90 day goals
- Saves to Confluence: Creates the page in the specified Confluence space through Atlassian Rovo MCP

Required Information
The agent will prompt for:
Employee Details:
- Full name
- Role/title

- Start date (optional)

- URL to example onboarding doc (Confluence or Paper)

- Skip-level manager

Output
Creates a Confluence page with:
- Title: "Welcome to [Company], [Name]!"
- Location: Specified Confluence space and folder
- Format: Structured markdown with Confluence macros
- Components: Info panels, expand sections, tables
Returns the Confluence page URL when complete.
Notes
- Uses Atlassian Rovo MCP for Confluence/JIRA and Dropbox MCP (
dropbox-mcp) paper_read_document for Paper templates/examples. For Paper docs, uses the Chrome plugin/live Paper view as the next fallback when Dropbox MCP is unavailable or lacks the needed operation, and uses /dropbox or Sidekick clients only as final fallbacks when Chrome is unavailable or unsuitable and DROPBOX_ACCESS_TOKEN is set.
