Create Plot

Build causal, episode-ready plot structures whose turns can be shown through character action, visible change, and vertical-scroll timing.

Follow the project runtime in AGENTS.md: set PYTHON from load_workspace_dependencies and run the bundled writer through locked uv run.

Workflow

1. Read project.md, plot/_template.md, plot/000.master-plot.md, existing plot files, and relevant characters/, backgrounds/, materials/, macguffins/, episodes/, and style/ sources.
2. Choose exactly one scope: series, season, arc, episode, or thread.
3. Define the reader promise, entry state, opposition, and causal chain. Prefer therefore or but turns over unrelated events.
4. Build an escalation ladder across goal, opposition, cost, time pressure, relationship, world state, and visual scale.
5. For each major turn, identify:
   • the character choice that causes it;
   • the reader-visible evidence;
   • the intended inference or reframe;
   • the visual image, panel contrast, or scroll gap that carries it;
   • the next-episode question or hook.
6. Track dependencies and episode ranges without treating an outline as occurred canon.
7. Resolve with an established choice and mechanism; do not introduce an unseeded solution at payoff time.
8. Ask for confirmation before writing a new plot source.

Write A New Plot

Prepare a reviewed UTF-8 JSON object matching plot/_template.md. Valid scopes are series, season, arc, episode, and thread. Put body content under:

• visible_evidence_and_reveals
• visual_scroll_hooks
• convergence_and_payoff
• exit_state

The writer creates plot/<ascii-slug>.md, emits deterministic nested YAML/frontmatter, and refuses an existing path unless --force is explicitly supplied. visual_scroll_hooks renders as a focused H3 inside ## Visible Evidence And Reveals, preserving the current plot template's H2 contract.

For existing plot files, patch minimally, preserve created, update updated, and keep cross-file dependencies synchronized.

Completion Gate

• Scope and episode_range agree.
• Entry and exit states differ materially.
• Every reveal has prior visible evidence or an intentional ambiguity.
• Every scroll hook carries story information rather than empty spectacle.
• Dependencies, characters, backgrounds, materials, and MacGuffins use real ids.
• Promise, escalation, convergence, and payoff remain causally connected.
