Use When

• Building editor plugins, docks, inspectors, or main-screen tooling.

Outcomes

• Editor tooling is delivered with safe lifecycle and teardown behavior.
• Mutating actions integrate with undo/redo boundaries.
• Plugin UX remains compatible with editor scale/theme constraints.

Required Rules

• Define entry path and registration lifecycle before implementation.
• Restrict editor-time execution to safe @tool boundaries.
• Route content mutations through editor undo/redo APIs.
• Verify disable/unload leaves no residual editor state.

Workflow

1. Define plugin entry path and lifecycle (enable/disable, registration teardown).
2. Ensure editor-safe execution model (@tool, focus/lifecycle constraints).
3. Route mutable actions through editor undo/redo integration.
4. Validate editor theme/scale compatibility and non-destructive behavior.
5. Emit reproducible debug snapshot/report path for tool failures.

Validation

• Repeated enable/disable cycles produce no duplicate UI registrations.
• Undo/redo correctly restores editor-visible mutations.
• Plugin functions under changed editor theme/scale settings.

Failure Modes

• Tool actions bypass undo/redo and cause irreversible editor changes.
