When to use

• The user wants local business info (name, address, phone, website, hours, rating)
• They want reviews or photos for a known place
• They mention "near me", a city + business type, or a place ID
• They want lead-gen / contact data for businesses on Maps

For non-Maps "what does X website look like" / general web search, use hasdata-search or hasdata-scrape.

google-maps key flags

--start <n>	Pagination offset — multiples of 20 (0 = page 1, 20 = page 2)
--gl <code>	Country code
--hl <code>	UI language
--domain	Google domain (e.g. google.co.uk)

--ll is the most important flag — narrow searches with tighter zoom (14z–16z) for neighborhood-level results, wider (10z–12z) for citywide.

google-maps-reviews key flags

--sort-by	qualityScore, newestFirst, ratingHigh, ratingLow

Tips

• Place IDs (start with ChIJ) are stable and preferred for place, reviews, photos. Get them from google-maps results (.places[].placeId).
• GPS coordinates for --ll: pull from any maps URL or use --gl + a city name in --q.
• For lead gen (extracting contact info for many businesses), search → fan out:
