The Scene / Sequel Framework

Ensure every block of prose follows this rhythm:

The Scene (Action):

1. Goal: The protagonist's immediate, concrete objective in this scene.
2. Conflict: The obstacle (person, environment, internal) preventing them from reaching it.
3. Disaster: The climax of the scene where the goal is denied, or achieved but with terrible consequences.

The Sequel (Reaction):

1. Reaction: The emotional fallout from the disaster. Explicitly require internal emotional processing — not just external response.
2. Dilemma: The character analyzing their terrible options.
3. Decision: The choice of a new goal, which launches the next Scene.

Note: The Sequel (Reaction) is where character depth lives. Skipping or rushing it produces shallow, report-style prose.
