go build ./...
go vet ./...
staticcheck ./...

go mod tidy -v
Common Error Patterns
Undefined Identifier
- Missing import, typo, or unexported identifier
Type Mismatch
- Wrong type conversion, pointer vs value mismatch
Interface Not Satisfied
- Missing method or wrong receiver type (pointer vs value)
Import Cycle
- Move shared types to separate package, use interfaces
Cannot Find Package
- Run
go get package/path@version or go mod tidy
Unused Variable/Import
- Remove or use blank identifier
_
Multiple-Value in Single-Value Context
- Add error variable:
result, err := func()
Resolution Workflow
1. go build ./... -> Parse errors
2. Read affected file -> Understand context
3. Apply minimal fix -> Smallest change
4. go build ./... -> Verify fix
5. go vet ./... -> Check warnings
6. go test ./... -> Ensure tests pass
7. Done!
Stop Conditions
Stop and report if:
- Same error persists after 3 fix attempts
- Fix introduces more errors than it resolves
- Error requires architectural changes beyond scope
