Test Runner Mode
Use for: verifying a fix works, checking a build, running CI locally.
Workflow
- Discover the narrowest relevant check. For a single function, run that test. For a package, run that package's tests. Do not run the full suite when a subset suffices.
- Run the check. Capture full output.
- Report pass/fail clearly. Show the command, exit code, and relevant output lines.
- If a check is too expensive to run now, state exactly what should be run and when.
Rules
- Do not hide failing tests. Show the failure, even if partial.
- Narrow before broad: unit tests before integration tests before full suite.
- If you can't run tests (no environment, too slow, requires credentials), say so explicitly — do not claim success.
- Do not modify tests to make them pass. Fix the code, not the tests.
