youtube-ctx: Local YouTube search, transcripts and visual context
Read public YouTube search results, transcripts, video metadata and storyboard context from a local agent session, with optional frame verification.
Uses
Use it for one-off, low-to-moderate public YouTube research. The visual route is useful when slides, charts or on-screen changes matter beyond the transcript.
Prerequisites
Requires Node.js 18.17 or newer. An account and hosted video2ctx service are not required for this local route; FFmpeg is optional for exact-frame verification.
How to use
Give the agent a YouTube URL or search question and state whether you need text, metadata or visual evidence. The Skill routes text requests to its direct-data workflow and visual requests to a transcript/storyboard scan; it extracts exact frames only when that detail is needed.
Limitations
For hosted production data, account information or recurring monitors, use the separate video2ctx-platform Skill.
Opciones de instalación
