PCSX2 PS2

Prefer the pcsx2-control MCP tools over raw shell commands. Run pcsx2_status first, then use the narrowest requested operation.

Workflow

1. Call pcsx2_status to verify installation and process state.
2. Call pcsx2_launch_game only with a user-supplied PS2 image or ELF path.
3. Call pcsx2_boot_bios only when the user has configured their own PS2 BIOS.
4. Call pcsx2_load_state or pcsx2_load_state_file only for an explicitly requested state.
5. Call pcsx2_find_logs before diagnosing startup or emulation failures.
6. Call pcsx2_capabilities before promising debugger, memory, breakpoint, screenshot, pause, or termination control.

Guardrails

• Never obtain copyrighted BIOS or game content.
• Never overwrite memory cards or save states.
• Never enable cheats, patches, or achievements unless requested.
• Never route PS1 libraries to PCSX2.
• Preserve per-game settings unless the user asks to modify them.
• Treat deep-debug operations as unsupported until the installed PCSX2 protocol is verified.
