Consult-to-Treatment Conversion

In aesthetics the consult is where the revenue decision is made. A practice that draws plenty of consults but converts few is leaking at a specific step — this skill finds and closes it. The provider owns the treatment plan and the clinical suitability; the coordinator operationalizes the path from "yes" to booked.

The loop

1. Instrument the funnel. Inquiry → booked consult → showed → converted-to-treatment → rebooked-on-cadence. Read the drop between each step; the biggest drop is the first thing to fix. Treat conversion benchmarks as [verify-at-use].
2. Make the plan legible (provider-owned). The consult converts when the patient understands the provider's recommended plan, the sequence, and the outcome expectations. The coordinator ensures the plan is communicated clearly and pricing is transparent — the provider sets the plan.
3. Remove the friction to "yes." Transparent package pricing, financing options where offered, and a same-day path to book (or to hold with a deposit) convert more than a follow-up call later.
4. Wire the follow-up cadence. A consult that doesn't book same-day gets a structured follow-up sequence, not silence.
5. Sell the membership at the moment of trust. The consult and the post-first-treatment moment are the membership-enrollment points; hand membership economics to med-spa-operations-lead.

Anti-patterns

• Sending every consult home with "think about it and call us" instead of a same-day book-or-hold.
• The coordinator improvising a clinical recommendation or interval — that's the provider's call.
• Opaque pricing that forces a second touch to learn the cost.
• Counting a booked consult as a win and never measuring conversion past it.
