description	Deploy a mock server generated from openapi.yaml (local via ngrok, remote, or cloud). Use to test a client without a real backend.

Deploy your OpenAPI mock server to another machine or online.

Ask for:

1. Deployment target: local Mac (ngrok), remote Mac, or cloud (TBD)
2. Which server target to deploy
3. Port number (default 8080)

Local Mac with ngrok

1. Build the server in release mode:

   swift build -c release
   

2. Run the server:

   .build/release/{ServerTarget}
   

3. Expose via ngrok:

   ngrok http 8080
   

4. Update the client's server URL to the ngrok forwarding address

5. Add the ngrok URL to the openapi.yaml servers list for team use

Remote Mac deployment

1. Build universal binary:

   swift build -c release --arch arm64 --arch x86_64
   

2. Copy binary + resources to the remote Mac via scp:

   scp .build/release/{ServerTarget} user@remote-mac:~/mock-server/
   

3. SSH in and run:

   ssh user@remote-mac
   cd ~/mock-server && ./{ServerTarget}
   

4. Optionally set up as a launchd service for persistence

5. Use ngrok on the remote Mac if external access is needed

Cloud deployment (TBD)

Options to investigate:

• Fly.io (Docker container, free tier)
• Railway (Git push deploy)
• Hetzner VPS (cheap, full control)
• AWS Lambda with Swift runtime

Tests

• Verify the deployed server responds to a health check endpoint
• Run the client test suite against the deployed URL
• Confirm all operations return expected mock data
