AIDA Engine
AIDA is the most battle-tested copywriting framework. For F&B brands, it maps naturally to how customers discover, consider, and order food. Use it for captions, email subject lines, and ad copy.
When to Use
- Writing promotional captions for new menu items
- Crafting launch announcements for seasonal dishes
- Creating ad copy for delivery platform promotions
- Any content where the goal is to drive immediate orders
When NOT to Use
- Evergreen brand-building content (use StoryBrand instead)
- Review response copy
- Google Maps business descriptions
Framework
A — Attention (1–2 sentences)
Hook the reader instantly. Lead with a bold claim, surprising fact, sensory detail, or question. Make stopping the scroll non-optional.
I — Interest (2–3 sentences)
Deepen the hook. Explain why this matters to them — context, origin story, technique, or what makes it different. No generic adjectives.
D — Desire (2–3 sentences)
Make them want it. Paint the experience: taste, texture, smell, occasion. Connect to an emotion or identity — family, nostalgia, celebration, adventure.
A — Action (1 sentence)
One clear next step. Be specific. "Order now" is weak; "Tap the link to get it delivered in 30 min" is strong.
