Record and Replay

Use this Skill only when the user explicitly asks to record, observe, learn, or turn a demonstrated Mac workflow into a Skill.

Recording

1. Call event_stream_start. The tool performs the recording approval elicitation. Do not claim recording started until the returned status has isRecording: true.
2. Tell the user recording is active and wait for them to demonstrate the workflow. Do not poll in a loop.
3. When the user says the demonstration is done, call event_stream_stop.
4. If the user cancels, stop the session and do not generate or install a Skill.

Drafting

1. Read session.json and treat events.jsonl as the primary evidence.
2. Treat suppressed.jsonl, when present, as a count and ambiguity signal. Do not recover or reproduce secure values.
3. Prefer semantic controls, dedicated tools, or connectors over coordinates.
4. Generate a draft with:
   • Summary
   • Preconditions
   • Replay Steps
   • Verification
   • Ambiguities
5. Never include credentials, tokens, passwords, raw event JSON, or personal content unrelated to the demonstrated workflow.

The bundled offline generator can create the first draft:

node open/generate-skill-cli.mjs <events.jsonl>

Review and parameterize the draft, then use skill-creator to create or update the final Skill. Do not install or publish a Skill without showing the user what was inferred and what remains ambiguous.
