# Codex PR Review Toolkit This is simply a Codex-native version of Anthropic's [Claude PR Review Toolkit](https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/tree/main/plugins/pr-review-toolkit). It brings the same focused-review approach to Codex and adds the independent validation pattern from Anthropic's [code-review workflow](https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/blob/main/plugins/code-review/commands/code-review.md). ## What it does - Runs `codex review` against the pull request base. - Uses independent, read-only reviewers for correctness, tests, silent failures, contracts/types, and comments/docs when relevant. - Revalidates every candidate finding with a fresh agent. - Reports only high-confidence issues with exact file and line evidence. - Rejects speculative, pre-existing, stylistic, and linter-detectable findings. - Includes a separate skill for generating repository-specific `## Code Review Rules` in `AGENTS.md`. - Keeps code simplification optional and separate because it modifies code. ## Install ```bash codex plugin marketplace add neonwatty/codex-pr-review-toolkit codex plugin add codex-pr-review-toolkit@codex-pr-review-toolkit ``` Start a new Codex task after installation so the skills are loaded. ## Use Ask Codex to: - “Review this pull request against its base.” - “Generate repository-specific Code Review Rules in AGENTS.md.” - “Simplify the reviewed changes without changing behavior.” ## Credits Adapted for Codex from Anthropic's Claude PR Review Toolkit.
