XML Mode Notes
- Friendly mode (default): attributes are prefixed with
- (e.g., -id, -class, -name)
- Text content: accessed via
#text when an element has both attributes and text
- For namespace-heavy XML where prefixes cause selector failures, use structured mode:

Error Handling
When a dasel command fails:
- Show the exact command that was run
- Show the full error message from dasel
- Diagnose the selector issue (missing key, wrong type, index out of range, attribute prefix missing)
- Suggest a corrected selector and re-run it
Common errors:
could not find value — path does not exist. Use keys($this) on the parent to discover available names.
- Attribute access fails — check that the
- prefix is present for XML attribute names.
- Empty result from
..elementName — element may use a namespace prefix. Try structured mode.
index out of range — use len(<path>) first.
