# Quote readiness checklist for custom woodwork Use this free Agent Skill to turn an early custom cabinetry, built-in furniture, or millwork inquiry into a responsible quote-readiness checklist. It does not estimate prices, send messages, sign contracts, or process payments. ## What it catches - missing site dimensions, material choices, finish, hardware, access, installation, exclusions, and schedule; - ambiguous wording that should become a client question rather than an invented assumption; - information that should be kept with the shop's own pricebook and approval process. ## Paid pilot For shops that quote from a mix of spreadsheets, Word, email, or a basic CRM, the QuoteGuard paid pilot adds a private pricebook-backed review step. It checks approved SKUs, quantities, discounts, estimated costs, tax defaults, and gross-margin thresholds before an estimator sends a quote. Pilot hypothesis: USD 49 for review of up to five redacted drafts. The shop retains customer contact and final approval. Open a [paid-pilot request](issues/new?template=paid-pilot.yml) with non-sensitive information only. ## Install Copy the quote-readiness-checklist folder into a supported Agent Skills directory, then ask an agent: Use $quote-readiness-checklist to prepare a quote-readiness checklist from this client inquiry. ## Safety boundary The Skill is a preflight checklist, not an estimator. Do not use it to invent dimensions, prices, code requirements, tax treatment, material availability, or contractual terms. Do not send a customer-facing quote until an authorized human has reviewed the completed draft. ## License The free checklist is released under the MIT License. The paid private configuration service is not included in this repository.
